Actress Christina Ricci has revealed that she developed the unhealthy look for Black Snake Moan by eating nothing but sugar. The sleepy Hollow actress, who has won appreciation for her role as a chained-up nymphomaniac called Rae in the film, has said that she wanted to make the role appear like someone who does not take care of herself, and seems unwholesome. “I wanted her (character) to look really unhealthy and like someone who didn’t take care of herself,” a website quoted her, as saying. Ricci added that she atained the unhealthy look by eating nothing but the substances with zero nutrition value, when she heard someone saying that eating only sugar could have a person looking really unhealthy.
